Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8,500.
“This fantastic jeep is ready for the mountains. I spent 3 years rebuilding this jeep from the frame up. Cleaned and painted frame with por15. In great shape. Pulled body and had it media blasted before replacement panels welded in. Painted in custom mixed blue from Willys paint chip. New wiring and gauges throughout including hand made classic looking wiring harness made to look like original cloth wrapped wiring. Engine runs great and doesn’t smoke. Transmission and transfer case rebuilt using NOS parts. All gears, 4×4 work great. Summer top ready to go.

I saw this the other day on Facebook. Lester notes it was published in Army Motors Magazine.

“I am selling my 1963 Willy’s Jeep and am sad to see her go. This jeep was featured in a car show many moons ago.
It runs great and I just serviced the carburetor. There are some mods done to it and am selling as is.
Engine is a V-6 Buick 255, It has Front Disc brakes, Ford 3 Speed top loader transmission.
Full Cage Roll bar and Towbar… Top is like new and know that this could be a great project.”
