Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Willys Jeep F134 engine, transmission, transfer case and Power take off, with PTO driveshaft. Condition unknown. Was stored in a barn and was told ran when pulled from a rusted jeep years ago. (03/05/2016) Looks in good shape.
“Great Jeep. Rebuilt motor with original flat head 4 cylinder. Last year they made it. Compression 120,120,110,120. Carburetor has just been rebuilt. New spark plugs, new gas tank, new high torque starter. All lights work. headlights, blinkers, brake lights, backup light, spot light and dark light, instrument panel, all lights work. 4 speed. Does come with roll bar not on it now. Does have clean title. Maybe trades. ”

(04/09/2016) Has some rare Formula Desert Dog PCV tires, though without much tread or life left.
“All original, matching numbers VEC Willy’s. VIN 23538. Column shift. Original motor serial # 24259. Lots of extra parts go with. Jeep rolls, motor turns. Frame is solid. Jeep has been stored indoors since I acquired it 5 years ago”

Alex shared this photo taken around 1955 in Martinique of a Delahaye VLR, a French jeep clone. It shows four French administrators making (as put by Alex) a “very colonial” looking visit it to the area.
Ron shared this video of a trip on the road to Calovebora in Panama. It’s certainly an off-road adventure.
