(10/21/2015) Has some rust.
“1947 Willys cj2a jeep for restoration or parts. Has been stored unused for a long time, but engine and drivetrain are in good shape. Original 4 cylinder engine and t90 three speed transmission. Body has rust damage on sides and floors, but can be restored.. Not completely rusted out..
Overall it’s a great start for complete restoration or a woods / plow jeep. Excellent project or use as is! Bill of sale only. $1500 or best offer…..THANKS”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
Looks solid, but has a tranny problem. Previous seller may have “saw-dusted” the tranny. I didn’t know people still did that!
“Putting my Jeep DJ-5 up for sale. Purchased it in the beginning of the summer intending on making it into a cool company vehicle but due to a new job I don’t have the time.
-The Jeep has a Clean NYS title.
-The title reads a 4cyl but there is an inline 6 in it so the motor was swapped at one point in time.
-Automatic.
-The Jeep is 2 Wheel Drive
-Body is pretty solid. Few little rust spots but nothing major. Floor pans are all clean.
-Doors, tailgate and hood work as they should.
-Jeep starts right up motor runs great
The bad…. When I purchased the Jeep I drove it up onto the trailer no problems. Got it home made one pass up the road (have a video to show you if desired) then loss all power in the drive gears. After pulling the pan on the transmission looks like the previous owner put saw dust into the transmission to sell it. After flushing it a few times all I get is a little push in drive but then just spins. Reverse takes off like a bat out of hell though so it can be driven onto a trailer.
Transmission is pulled out of the Jeep to be either rebuilt or replaced with something else. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
“Postal Jeep with Right Hand Steering
6cyl (was running but needs work on engine head, aka Valve Job)
Auto Trans
Good condition.
Good tires
Bucket seat.
Selling complete unit not running, will load $1500.00
DJ-5D (1975–77):
ENGINE 232 cu in (3.8 L) AMC Straight-6 engine
TRANSMISSION 727 TorqueFlite automatic”
This is probably just a modified DJ-5, but given the rear does’ have the standard wheel well on the outside (it covers the wheel, which is unusual). May be something unique here.
“If your interested in a project. Then this is perfect.
No title. No pink. Bill of sale only. Should be fun for a
Ranch or use it like a golf cart. Automatic transmission.
4 cylinder engine. 2 wheel drive only. $800 Obo.
Its was used by a university, then on a farm. ”
It’s a project. The body is fiberglass.
“1974 Jeep Cj-6 project. Factory 304 v/8. Fiberglass body and fenders. Please call for information. Text will not be responded to. Call’s only please. ”
Paul’s getting close. Over the last six years we’ve watched him build this stainless monument to jeeps. Just some little things to be completed. Maybe 2020????
Shane shared with me his story about his stolen CJ-2A (rare 1949). He hoped people would be on the look out for it.
Howdy, Flat Fender Fam! Duffer over on earlycj5 suggested I post up over here and see if any of the 2a purists might have some leads…I’ve been rekindling a search that started 8 years ago and I figured I’d see if anyone has any leads. In August 2007 I purchased an actual 1949 CJ2A off eBay. It was grey with a white soft top (no doors when taken), dauntless V6, black steelies, 31″ A/T’s, Saginaw swap and high back vinyl buckets. It was stolen in late November/early December of that year from a parking lot in downtown Columbia, SC. I haven’t seen or heard anything about it since and my police report surprisingly turned up no info. I have recently been using search tools online to gather more info, but have yet to find anything concrete. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pics. It has an Illinois title which I never switched over. The serial number is 223788. If anyone can post this on other forums and spread the word or has any info I would be forever grateful. Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6250.
This looks good for the price. One of the photos within the ad showing the vehicle’s rear is actually of an M-151, so don’t let it confuse you.
“World War II veteran owned for the last fifty years, has original military equipment. Use to be in the Veteran’s parade but I’m getting older in the years. Hate to see it go but I have have enjoyed owning a part of history. Has been garage kept and has many new parts. Runs and drives good…….”
