Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Though it looks like an M-38, it’s a CJ-2A with mods. The body is a replacement and not an M-38.

The body is on Chevy Monte Carlo metric chassis; has a Ford 9 in rear-end, Camaro spindles, disc brakes in front and rear, power steering, fuel cell with braided fuel line.
The frame has been built with cross bracing and drive shaft safety hoop.
Chassis is set up for small block chevy engine.

(04/25/2015) Can you blame the seller for pricing it at a value that someone appraised it at? Hard to figure out how an appraiser could have arrived at such a price.

Glenn and Miss Willy couldn’t make the local town parade in Smithfield, Maine, after Miss Willy’s accident, so Glenn’s friends made sure that at least Miss Willy would be there, even if it took a tow truck. That’s how you know you have good friends 🙂
