Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Here is my CJ2A for your consideration. I custom built the body, painted it myself (it’s not perfect, i am a novice painter but i get alot of compliments on it, it was supposed to be grey but turned out the off white as you see) and the inside is coated with diy bedliner and the bottom side with POR15, wheelwells were done in diy bedliner also to prevent star bursts in the paint on the top side. The cowl section is the only part that’s ’47, from the dash back including the floor braces (1×2” tubing) it’s all brand new tin. Front clip, windshield frame and tail gate are MD Juan parts.

“I’m looking for a new home for my 1953 Willys. 🙁 My wife and I brought it here in 2013 as a fun weekend toy, but it’s just not getting the LOVE it deserves. Jim spotted this 1980 Cherokee with a Gladiator grille. It’s a good look, though it seems to me this could effect cooling.
