Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a pair of 1944 gpw Jeeps. One is numbers matching and one is a USMC WW2 ambulance jeep. The ambulance jeep is 1 of 20 known survivors as they made between 500-800 of them during the war. It needs a lot of work but is super rare. The floors are rotted and have new floors for it and a 27 gallon tub packed with new parts. Also it includes an original USMC marked mbt trailer. The numbers matching gpw has some rust out but better then 99% of Jeeps out there. It has a lot of original parts including the correct horn, front seats, correct carburetor and more.
Each jeep is 8k and have a nos gpw jeep engine block to offer extra with the ambulance jeep”
The two front seats and cage would be hard to duplicate at $600 if you have a 3B and want all of it.

It is 20 inches longer than a wrangler jeep. Research on the internet to learn more about this very rare Willys only 4,000 built for military use serial number 020X3 to register DMV. It runs but not good enough to use yet all the drive train good needs to be restored these jeeps are mostly used in parades and displayed at military museums or post when finished. “I ran this ad last June and received several offers. Unfortunately I was on an extended trip and was not available for showing. So I am now rerunning the ad for the next 2 weeks and will respond to all questions. I will then respond to offers in the order of amount offered.
1952 m38 —- This jeep was 90% refurbished in 1989 from the frame up new wiring harness (24 volt), brakes, etc. Motor and trans ran like a top. It has not been started since 1989. After 1989 it was stored in a rough outbuilding and obviously shows it. I have all the parts, snorkel, seat frames, etc. I’m 70 and don’t need this project. Would like to sell by the end of September and now taking offers. Please serious inquiries only.”
This looks to be a 2WD DJ-3A (body, grille, and front axle).

“Complete CJ2 jeep Needs engine rebuild. Drive train is good. If I don’t sell it as is I will be asking $6500 with a rebuilt engine. Not sure on the miles. On non opp and title in hand. floor boards are not rotted out. The engine has been sitting for years with the cylinder head off. so the cylinder bores are rusty. The pistons are most likely stuck in the bore. my asking price is firm.”

This June 20, 1960, Advertising and Merchandising Bulletin included a wall poster showing new styling changes in the ‘Jeep’ vehicle line. I wish I knew which poster that was.
There is also reference to an ad in the April 25th, 1960, issue of Life Magazine. But, it wasn’t a ‘Jeep’, but rather a Goodyear tire ad that includes a jeep.
