Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a complete 1947 cj2a jeep not running but it did just a couple years ago…..its a good doner vehicle for parts as its not road worthy….no title so it goes as is…..the drive train is excellent working and movable….I have some other parts for these jeeps….extra front and rear axles….engine/trans/transfer case assembly’s and a project cj2a i started that will have to go as well….no more time for these projects so call with any questions just east of Johannesburg…reasonable prices…also have a Lincoln shield arc welder and a 58 big block mopar 350 engine rare rare also Edlebrock headers for 94-02 Dodge ram V8 engines great shap”

“Due to another project I have decided to sale my 1948 Willy’s Project. Here is what I was told when I bought it. Engine totally restored. (It does appear this was dne) Frame cleaned painted new lines brakes etc. ( have not verified) I was told the transmission was rebuilt but there still appears to be allot of build up of gunk but everything seams to work. It is at a great place to start putting back together. You could either totally restore or build back and drive the crap out of it. Supposedly 100% of all the parts are there. Somebody has started cutting parts from the body and patch back but has a long way to go.”

“Very origional and sound Jeep I restored a few years ago.
Painted to origional michigan yellow.
Engine rebuilt and runs great the transmission is tight and 4 wheel works like new. Still 6 volt electrical. Must see to appreciate.
I believe mileage to be correct but can’t prove.”

“rebuilt in 2008. New crank pistons, muffler, etc., 12 volt alt. original 24 volt wiring, all lights, wipers, & combat light work. Includes ax, shovel, all top bows, door frames, handles, winter canvas doors & side curtains, aircraft seat belts & door straps. Engine has 2000 miles on new Speedo since rebuilt. Jeep runs approx. 6 miles per day for local errands. Runs great.”
