This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The Summer 2023 issue of Dispatcher Magazine arrived in my mailbox yesterday. That cover photo is beautiful (much better than my lousy scan would suggest). The issue includes an unknown-to-me story of how the Olympics helped sell the Jeep Comanche.
Bill shared Daniel Strohl’s last article for Hemmings, which is less an article and more of a wish list of articles he had hoped to write, but, for various reasons, couldn’t. One of those article was the FC-150 Commuter Van, but he never uncovered it. You can read his “Untold Auto Stories” below:

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7700.
“1963 CJ5, clear title, runs and shifts great, brakes were fine until I pulled it out for photos, pedal goes to floor now. Also, a non-title 1959 CJ5, body and engine very rough, non running, parts only. Selling as a “pair” for $7700.”

“Selling CJ-2a Willys. *Has a California title* Jeep runs and drives, but will need carb work to run smoothly. Brake master cylinder and brake cylinders have been replaced. New fuel pump was installed as well. Original motor- starts and runs well. Has high and low gears along with original three speed transmission. All gears work well. Has original foot starter. Extra fuel pump – new brake kit – new wiring harness – extra carb – misc parts as well. Comes with an extra hood also. Fenders are fiber glass.”
