Roger shared this CJ-2A with driver side indents. I suspect that top requires the vertical windshield. The bidding is currently at $3300 with 9 hours to go. The drain holes have been filled and bow holders removed, so this likely has had some bodywork. It’s listed as a 1945, but more likely a ’46.

This unusual and rare booklet from 1946 offered marine-conversion kits from the Osco Motors Corp out of Philadelphia for standard engines from several manufacturers, including Willys-Overland. The were called “Convo-Kits”.

Good running condition. Nice driver, not a show car. Some dings, dents, and scratches visible up close. Mileage advertised reflects current reading on the odometer, which has likely rolled over.

“1948 Willys CJ-2A – Have clean Texas title in hand. Complete rebuild from ground up finished two years ago. All running gear rebuilt with new bearings, seals, bushings throughout. New clutch, brakes, new copper/nickel brakelines, new gas tank, gauges, seats. Vilas Motor Works in Bryan Texas completely rebuilt the L-134 engine, sleeved back to factory specs, and have all receipts for proof. Optima Red Top battery, Delco alternator, and have nice external charger to go with it/maintenance. BMJP mil repro copper cored radiator. New body tub, fenders. New leaf springs, shackles, shocks, u-bolts, bushings. Original rebuilt Warn Locking hubs, Firestone Military NDT 17” tires, split combat rims including spare. Electric wipers. “I have slowly brought this truck back to a road worthy state. The truck has been altered over the years. I have tried to get it back to original as I can afford to. It was a flat bed when I got it. I found a box in decent shape and mounted that. The rust has been abated (some added bondo but not much). The floorboards are solid , so is the bed floor. The frame is solid as well no repairs. The engine and transmission are original, and the 4WD works. The engine is a little tired but still runs well after warming up. This truck doesn’t burn or leak anything, pretty amazing for a Willys.
New parts-
carburetor, fuel line, water pump, radiator, tires (5), electronic ignition, gauges, all new brakes (Master cylinder, shoes, wheel cylinders, lines, proportioning valve) new gas tank, and electric fuel pump. I also have a wiring harness but not installed yet.

“1949 Willys Jeepster VJ3. I was told the car originally had the 4 cylinder engine. The gentleman I purchased from replaced it with a 6 cylinder engine which I was told was from a Studebaker. It is actually an F-161 from a 1952-54 Willys Aero or Wagon. He thought the car was under powered with the 4 cylinder. Manual transmission with overdrive. Car was also repainted from the original blue to the cream/red color. Not currently running. I had it running 20 years ago for what it’s worth. Engine turns over. Interior is in good condition with original rubber floor mat. Side curtains are there as well. Solid condition. A good cleaning would have it show well or it’s ready to restore back to original. Asking $7,500. Located in Greencastle, PA. Not far from Carlisle and Hershey car shows.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5800. Jim notes it appears to have an Encore body rather than an original one.
