Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “lassic Jeep Willys with original flat head 4 motor, 3 Spd transmission. This vehicle runs & drives. The 4WD works as well. Carburetor rebuilt, brake lines replaced. There is some surface rust on frame. Also, It will need floor pans replaced but the majority of the rust is regulated to the floor pans and lower bin of the bucket.”

“1966 Willys Jeep CJ5. Starts, runs, drives and stops. This is a project and is full of rust. I used it to plow my driveway (way more fun than a snowblower) and it has not been on the road since I bought it last year. It is one of three Jeep CJ projects that I own, and I’m downsizing. Bring a trailer, it’s not road worthy. I can take buyer for a farm trail ride to prove it works. It includes the hydraulics and lift assembly for snow plow which works. I’m keeping the plow and lower mount. Use it as a cheap UTV or rebuild it. It will need a new body and probably some minor frame repair to restore due to rust at the front crossmember. I use it regularly as it is. Please no calls on weekdays before five pm or Thursday nights. I can’t answer it at work. Text anytime.”

Parking brake, drop down tongue support, shocks, Pintle hitch with matching 2″x2″ receiver stinger setup, aluminum wheels with ok/old tires (no cracking though), extra steel wheels, aluminum storage boxes, some rust but a good basis for a project and tons of character”
This November 22, 1941, article in the New York Daily news about a British strike force in Libya that used some jeeps. The jeep pictured appears to be the original Ford Pygmy.
Martin shared this rig. This one runs across drives. It could be a handy rig to have around.

“1943 Ford Burma Jeep, this particular truck was a bomb service truck for the Navy during World War II. It has the in-line six ford engine that starts easy and runs smooth. It has a 10,000 pound Braden PTO winch that works great and has new cable. The four wheel drive works as it should in both high and low range, high range is pretty low as top speed is only 45 mph. It does have a leak here and there as you would expect from something of this vintage but does run well and drives and stops. This would make a good farm rig or a good restoration truck for a military collector, as I read there were approximately 15,000 of these trucks made in five different configurations, I don’t know how many of them survived. I would be open to offers / trades.”
The shipping on this is $25US; otherwise, I’d get this rare brochure.
