1944 MB Fairfield, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: MB This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3250.

This might not be a bad price if the body is in very good shape.

“Pictured below is a 1944 Willys MB Military Jeep. It has what I believe to be is the original T84 transmission and Spicer 18 transfer case. The engine is not the original L head. Someone has replaced the original engine with a Willys F head. The windshield frame is from a M38. Overall the vehicle is in pretty good shape for its age. It runs and drives really well. I received this vehicle as payment for a debt. I’m looking to get $3,250 or best offer. Cash only please.”

It’s hard to believe it runs.  It’s a parts jeep.

“This is a 1948 WILLYS Jeep that runs, she smokes but she runs, good for parts as she shifts and I have the original Michigan title that matches the plate on the firewall…body is bad and jeep is for sale for parts only, needs to be trailered as tires are also poor… 920-856-6539 or neuby47@hotmail.com”

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3B This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $3000

This CJ-3B includes an overdrive. This might be a pretty good price given the work that has been done.

Rebuilt engine, transmission and transfer case along with new clutch and resurfaced flywheel ~1000 miles. Rebuilt Overdrive unit, less than 100 miles. The engine was sleeved back to standard and compression measures at high specification (125psi). It has an electronic ignition and a high torque starter. Three point harness on front seats and a rear seat (not mounted) to go with it. Full roll cage. Upgraded brakes, 11″ drums front and rear as well as dual reservoir master cylinder. Runs great and has a 12v electrical system.”

Lug Nuts

• CATEGORIES: Features, Vendors, Website This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

A reader asked about finding chromed lug nuts that had right and left hand threaded types.

I responded with this information:

I got my lug nuts from my local schucks store.  They carry the Mr Lugnut brand.  I needed to get some special ones due to the thickness of my cast aluminum rims.  However, I only needed right handed threads and not lefty’s. http://www.mr-lugnut.com/

Here’s a page that might be helpful too http://www.discountjeepparts.com/index.php/cPath/1714_302 It appears they have both right and left hand threaded chrome bolts that will cover the whole stud. Another thought (which doesn’t sound like much fun) is to knock out the left hand threaded studs and just go with right handed ones all around?”

1948 CJ-2A Stevensville, MI **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2800.

A reader named Terry alerted me to this sale.

1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep Serial Number 56566

I am selling this Jeep because I am ill with a progressing brain disease and there is more work to be done on this Jeep than I expected. Transmission is inoperable, locked in neutral, and needs replacement or rebuilding. Steering gear needs work. Engine is perfection, runs like a dream.  I originally purchased it with the idea that it would take the place of my Ural, so I could continue going out sight-seeing and exploring. … The Jeep’s original flathead, four-cylinder engine (engine #103462) has less than 300 miles on it since being completely rebuilt.”

1952 CJ-3A? Lake Forest, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: M-38 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.

This looks more like a M-38 to me, but I can’t tell conclusively.

1952 Jeep CJ3A. This jeep has a 1955 F head engine instead of the original flat head engine. I have lots of extra parts I bought at a military auction many years ago. I have a soft top for it. This Jeep has NO rust and ran great last time I went hunting in it which was 1994. it has been stored inside ever since. Even the interior is good. I put in a new gas tank with non corrosive liner. It needs a battery and most likely will need a carburetor rebuild from sitting so long and will have years of trouble free hunting or whatever. It’s not fast (max 50 mph) but it will climb a tree.”
