It’s unusual …. but he loves it.

“Custom made buggy that will go anywhere. I have used it in Moab rocks, AZ desert rocks, Colorado mountains, CA sand dunes, etc. 370hp 360ci mopar engine professionally built … My wife hates this thing, I will hate to see it go. I am asking 6k, but am somewhat negotiable. I would consider some trades such as an equivalent value 4×4 quad or a rhino, ranger, or prowler. I would consider a clean jeep as well. I have this machine at a storage yard in Post Falls. If I have time I hope to take it to Moses Lake this weekend to check out the dunes that are supposedly over there. They don’t sound like much compared to what this beast has seen before.”

This is the nicest ‘VEEP’ I’ve seen.  The seller is incorrect about the body, as that’s obviously a M-38 body.  As of this post the high bid is $3319.

“Up for auction is an extremely rare and fun Kit 2 wheel drive Veep.  I absolutely love this little Jeep.  It was built in 1981 using a 1971 Volkswagen Beetle donor car.  The body is an all steel 1948 Willys CJ-2A.  It was meticulously & professionally built by an aerospace engineer according to the information I have.  The kit was designed by the Scamp corporation.  You can tell this was done right in every way.  Most people do not realize that it’s not an actualy Willys….”

At the 4wd swap meet  in March, my only purchase was a bottom cover for my TH-350 housing.  I was assured it would fit a TH-350.  I figured, for $10, it was worth a try.

I got it home, cleaned it up, even painting it.  It looked like it should fit.  But alas, no matter how many ways I tried to make it work, the holes didn’t line up.  That will teach me to try something new (as in trying an automatic).  So, my search continues ….. here’s a picture, for what it’s worth 🙂

‘rebuilt carb, new head gasket, needs distributer and should run. the tub is pretty rusty but other than that it is pretty decent for use off road or parts. Might consider partial trade for a stick welder, oxy-fuel torch or other welding equipment. “
