Brian shared this video. I don’t have away to embed it here, so you’ll have to view it on FB. The narrator notes that the jeep has been sitting since 1994, but it only required a little oil to make them work again. The narrator concludes that because of this the design was a good one.
My only caveat on that compliment is that near the end there’s a closeup that shows how bent one of the arms is. For better or worse, the bending of the levers has been one of the weak spots of these of this design.

Mike spotted this trencher. It’s not far from him. He said he’d be willing to look at it for someone. I’m surprised this doesn’t have duallies on the back. It does have a rear pto gear box sitting in the jeep as well, so it seems there is some definite parts value here.

“50 – 60’s believe CJ 5 jeep with trencher. Looks like auger in picture but looking at in closely it is part of the trencher. NO TITLE”

Tom shared this M-38 that is supposed to be rust free (though it has some slight surface rust. Still, it’s worth a look.

“For sale is my 1952 Willys M38 (military jeep). The top is a factory “Arctic Top” that was installed when new. The Jeep was originally in the military then was purchased by the forest service and they painted it forest service green. This jeep has almost no rust on it whatsoever! Floors, body, hat channels are all completely solid and rust free. Some stuff was modernized: 12v converted/solid state distributor/standard fuel pump but I have all of the original 24v waterproof distributor/plugs/wires/pump. Lots of new parts, radiator was rebuilt, new fuel tank, seats. All gauges work like they’re supposed to. The Jeep runs and drives great and I drive it regularly. It has a clean Ga title in my name”
Sort of runs. Unclear whether the trencher still works.

“Located in Central Missouri along I44
Although purchased as “running” it only runs if assisted with fuel into the carburetor. It’s at a local shop to get running. The driver’s window is out and others damaged as shown.
Transport revealed the deterioration of the cab which is beyond my means.
Recently acquired, awaiting title from dealer.”
This includes a PTO.
