Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Here are four cast aluminum slot rims that are 10 x 15 and 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern. The seller has a variety of sizes. I’m finding these harder to find than the turbine rims.

“have a set of armstrong tru trac tires on aluminum wedge type wheels. 32 x 11.50 x15. they have a good 1/2 inch tread in great shape.”

“Very good condition USMC MightyMite Jeep. $3500 – buyer picks up.”
That’s a good looking CJ-5 for only $1500.
“1968 – BUICK V6 ENGINE, 3 SPEED MANUAL TRANS, DANA 44 REAR, RUNS GOOD. WASHINGTON REGISTRY TITLE. Needs some work but runs and drives. Need to sell! Must fix my wrangler.”

“1942 Jeep, turn key. Hurricane 6 cylinder over head valve engine. Lots of power. rebuilt carb, new springs. nice tires, clear title, no rust. tune up. Very nice jeep to drive.$3500”

“Sb 350 Chevy, Turbo 350 tranny, built, mild cam, Edelbrock Intake Manifold, Holley carb, gear drive, Hedman headers, B&M shifter, 4-point harness, racing seats, cutstom rear gas tank. Motor has like 5 Hours on it. Went to the sand and broke the rear-end. Have New Quik-Change rear-end to go with. Brand new paddles, (used once) $2500 OBO”

“1953 Willys Kaiser Jeep w/12,000 actual miles, 90% restored, yellow, 3 speed, first year of the civilian jeep, rear seat, snow plow, front tow bar, goes down the road at speed limit. Includes white soft top with doors.”
While not completely accurate, this is a nicely restored CJ-3B. You can also purchase another rolling frame and other parts for an additional $400.
“THIS IS A 1954 CJ3B WILLYS JEEP ,REG. IN MY NAME , THE JEEP WAS RESTORED APPROX. 4 YEARS AGO, NEW BREAK SYSTEM FROM THE MASTER CYL. TO THE LUG NUTS, NEW GAS LINES ,TANK, SENDING UNIT. NEW WIREING HARNESS ,ALL LIGHTS ,BLINKERS WORK. HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO A 12 VOLT SYSTEM WITH NEW DELCO ALT. NEW EXSAUST SYSTEM. ALSO HAS NEW TIE RODS & KING PIN THE JEEP HAS A KOENING PTO WINCH THAT WORKS GREAT. IT RUN OK BUT NEEDS A TUNE UP.”

This looks like a nicely, pretty original CJ-2A. The desert has likely helped preserve it.
“I don’t know a lot about this vehicle. An elderly lady I know wants to sell it. It belonged to her and her husband. The Jeep comes with a front tow bar and a back seat. It does run, however there is a short in the electrical system that keeps draining the battery. The jeep says it has 20182 miles on it, however the lady who owns it says she thinks the speedometer has rolled over a time or two. If you need further details, please email me and I will try to answer your questions as best as possible.”

This looks like a pretty stock jeep, except for a few minor updates.
“1949 WILLYS CJ2A. REBUILT FLAT HEAD 4 CYL 2 YEARS AGO.NEW BRAKES WHEEL CYLINDERS MASTER CYLINDER. NEWER TIRES. 12 VOLT SYSTEM RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A DREAM. SOFT TOP 2 YEARS OLD.”
