Barry wrote a version of this article for “Farm Collector” magazine. It has been accepted, but he’s not sure when it will print. I was gratified to see he was able to use some of my research in it. I hope others can leverage their research with other aspects of eWillys.
The J3M VAMs out of Mexico

The J3M VAM was manufactured by VAM in Mexico for the army. It looks like a combination of a CJ and a Gladiator Truck. Learn more here –> https://cj3b.info/World/Mexico.html. Below are some example pics of the vehicle.

Here’s another example of this vehicle found on Pinterest:

Mystery Hardtop and Doors
TJ shared this ad for the doors (hardtop not for sale) out of Everett, WA. The doors are priced at $50 on Facebook. I don’t recognize the doors or top. Does anyone else recognize it?
“These doors fit a hardtop like the one pictured. They contour to the jeep body nicely and are complete with glass. Unfortunately the top is not available.”
1956 CJ-5 McKinney, TX $7900
There’s a lot of early jeep here. The 0-8 KS speedo has the orange needle; I’m not sure why some are white and some are orange. This also has an early top that looks in good shape and a set of early, period correct even, Free-Lock hubs. It still has the reversed front shackles, too.

It doesn’t run. The floor has been rebuilt, but it wasn’t rebuilt to any standard specs, nor does the floor sit over the frame on hat channels.
