“1957 FC 150. My late father purchased this Jeep when it was a couple years old. It has spent the last 50 plus years in the same place. It needs a lot of TLC but is complete with a clear title. Original F head 134 engine. The side shift T90 transmission was replaced by a new factory unit in the 70’s. Original Dana 18 transfercase. Stock Wagner 11×2 manual adjust brakes. 5.38:1 axle gears. Floor boards are rusted out and it has more than a few dents. Original paint and no bondo.
Additional FC parts are available. It hasn’t been run in 20 plus years.”

Blaine spotted this narrow-track FC for sale. It’s listed as a 1960, but I suspect that’s just a place holder year. The seller supposedly has an interested buyer, but the ad is still up as of this morning.

“Came from an Estate Sale from a Farm in Eastern Oregon! Willy’s Forward Control in pretty good shape. Does have rust in drivers door and some above windshield on drivers side. Mostly surface rust on the rest. Truck is missing rear fenders and engine cover, all of which can be easily fabricated. Truck is complete with minimal rust and has original 4 cylinder engine and all running gear.
You dont see many of these up for grabs, and they are so cool! Asking $7500 OBO. Clean Title in Hand!”

UPDATE: This video is making the rounds on FB, again, so, I figured I’d repost it.

Original Post March 2017: Listed as a 1940s promotional film, the inclusion of CJ-5s and the exclusion of DJs and FCs suggests to me it was created in 1955. There’s an extended look at a cargo personnel carrier near the end of the video There are also a variety of specialized equipment and hardtops shown.

Sam spotted this photo with an 1946-1947 CJ-2A (and other photos) at the Digital North Carolina archives. According to the description, the photo shows “Van and George Watson hauling seed corn to dryer plat at Watson Seed Farms INC. with World War II Surplus Willy’s Jeep. Watson Seed Farms had 2 jeeps.”
