This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Was purchased from an estate after the previous owner had passed. He had a few jeeps in his collection.
I purchased this car non running with a seized motor. The Jeep now runs and idles smoothly. It is still a project that needs a lot more work but I did the difficult parts of getting it back up and running.
For the next owner you will need to take care of the brakes before any serious driving can happen. Master definitely needs to be replaced.
Car is in WEST LA. Can be shown Monday – Friday 10-6 and weekends by appointment.

“This is a running, clear titled, antique plated, 1954 Willys M170 Jeep Ambulance. This jeep is a good running machine that would be fun for parade or reenactment use. The red cross marked canvas is included. Has a WORKING SIREN. This is a turn key, ready to drive vintage military jeep. This was always a hit in the 4th of July in my town. The M170 Jeep was used as a front line ambulance by the army in the 1950s and 1960s and the Marine Corp used the M170 as a troop hauler and communications vehicle because of the extended body. Only approximately 6,000 M170 Jeeps were made, making this a tougher to find variation antique military jeep. Please ask all questions before you bid. Local Pick-Up Only. Cash or Money Order at Pick-Up or Check will be given 10 Days to Clear.”
Tom spotted this jeep. It has some hat channel rust, but looks like a good restoration candidate.

There sure is a lot to like here, especially that hardtop, which looks to be a Koenig Super Cab model 550 with the optional vertical doors in the rear (see other Koenig brochures here).

“This is a unicorn. This little green gem has around 36k miles on it. Nothing is rusted out. It is mostly all original from what I can see.

The rare hard top is in amazing shape with keys to lock doors.

Listed as a 1947 CJ-2A, the lack of bumper gussets and the lack of bow holders suggest this might be a CJ-3A.

Seller has removed a layer of blue paint which revealed olive drab. Otherwise, I would have thought this was an Air Force jeep. Maybe used by the Army, then. the Air Force?

“1953 M38A1 Willys Jeep. It is pretty much original though the electrical system has been converted to 12 volts. The brakes have been rebuilt and the tires are new. The canvas top is laying in the back on the floor. The exterior and interior were painted blue and the seats are upholstered in blue. I was going to freshen up the exterior paint. The blue easily came off with sanding leaving the original olive drab and markings. To restore it back to olive drab will take more time and energy then I have so it is for sale. Asking $6000.”
