CJ-2A VEC Parts Wanted in Richmond, Virginia
Shane scored a very stock CJ-2A with a Newgren lift this weekend. Though it’s been converted to 12 volts, he believe he has all the parts to restore it to six volts. However, there are a few other parts he doesn’t have, so he’s hoping someone else does. You can contact him at donovanshanemiller @ gmail.com (remove the spaces around the “@” before emailing him).
- Early Tail light housing
- Passenger side reflector
- Keyed coil
- Newgren lift pump
- Temp gauge(broken capillary is fine)
- Monarch governor setup
- Mirror, arm, bracket
He’ll share some pics of his new find once he is able.

Today’s lesson: don’t take a history course from Atlas Motors. Apart from a few light mods, this looks solid.

“1947 JEEP WILLY, this is a shout out to the great men and women that made this country great!!! Building these jeeps to last longer then any modern day auto…Biggest mistake of one of our salesman here is that he passed on the chance to buy one of these that was still in the crate (for only $500.00 bucks), dropping these out of the back of an airplane and assembling them on the go to keep our troops mobile, talk about a modern day marvel… Enough of a history lesson for today, lets get down to brass tacks.
This 1947 green machine is amazing…basically rust free (wish i could say the same), paint and interior are above average. Runs and drives which is most excellent because who wants one of these as “yard art”? its all about the drive ability and this wicked wheeler can conquer anything, from a simple street speed bump to the side of any mountain you dare to roll over!!!
Feel free to come on in and take a look at this piece of history,(bring your checkbook and inform your wife that she just bought you your fathers day gift) museum hours M-F 10-7, S 10-6 closed Sundays
