Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is an unusual item that Maury shared. It’s priced at $99. A similar type of jeep sold without the lucite for $57 in August of 2020.

“This 1964 Willys Jeep CJ-3B was acquired by the seller out of Wisconsin about four years ago and subsequently underwent a body-off restoration. A repaint in Steel Glow Gray Poly was carried out, and the F134 Hurricane inline-four, three-speed manual transmission, power take-off, and the two-speed transfer case were reportedly rebuilt at this time.
Features include a seven-piece canvas soft top, 16″ wheels, Warn lockable front hubs, a Hickey sidewinder winch, a ventilated pop-out windshield, black hardware, and aftermarket auxiliary gauges. A tune-up and valve adjustment were recently performed. This CJ-3B is now offered with restoration photos and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name. (more info on BaT)”

It looks like this is the CJ-2A era Capstan with a modified mount for the crankshaft (unless I”m mistaken; I’m no expert on these).
“This is a totally restored Willys Capstan Winch, made for WWII era MB and GPW Jeeps. All the parts are here and are either restored or machined new. It bolts right to the front bumper and has a drive that bolts up to the crank, so it is a “permanent” fixture on your refurbished Jeep. Unrestored winches on eBay are priced around $3,000 so that price for this one is realistic. The winch is ready to install and go. Be the first in your club to have one and don’t go 4-wheelin’ without it.”

Looks like an early 1950s l-head. Seller describes it as diesel, but I doubt that.
“It is a willys diesel motor needs a 6 volt battery to start needs some cleaning and paint photos will tell all .Someone told me it is the motor that the army uses for jeeps I would think it would have to be dependable.”

“Vintage Jeep Ford GPW 1942 GPW18221. Lots of original F script parts. Non running but engine turns freely. Engine is not original as far as I can tell as engine serial number starts with J. Front frame serial number is GPW18231 which falls somewhere between 3 and 7 of 1942. Condition is “Used”. Three 15” wheels and one 16” non combat rim. Would make good project or for parts. No title selling as is. Pickup only in SW VA or would consider delivering within 100 miles. No reserve.”

“Selling my unrestored WW2 Willys 1/4 Ton trailer. Needs to be restored. Needs handbrake and brake linkage, wheels are post war, needs landing leg. I have two fenders which are included. Original paint on back side which has not been cut for tailgate. Bottom panel needed. Please look at the pics and ask all questions before bidding. If you want more images, please ask.
