Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It’s very rough, but does appear to have a VEC windshield.
“I have a 40’s model Willys CJ-2A. I purchased it a couple months back and ended up buying another Jeep last week that I am going to use instead of this one. Jeep is complete minus tailgate, seats, and a carb. Was told it ran from previous owner. No title but a title can be had by filing antique with SCDMV. Jeep has rust in floors and the tub. It is repairable. Frame is good. All original drivetrain is in tact.”

Jay spotted this one. It’s listed as a 1949. It’s missing the column shift and the early windshield, so this might be a mix of parts.

(01/04/2014) This has some tool indents. It could be a VEC. It doesn’t run, but does have a rebuilt engine.

Jay spotted this one. Listed as a 1943 Military Jeep, this looks to me more like an early CJ-2A.
