1948 CJ-2A Reno $4250

UPDATE:  Price dropped to $4250

A great looking jeep with nice mods.

“• It is a 1948 Willys CJ3A tub on a 1972 Jeep CJ5 frame & running gear
• The motor is a Ford 302
• The transmission is a Dana T-150 3 speed
• The transfer case I believe is a Dana T-18
• The front axle is a Dana 30 or 35, I’ll have to check
• The rear axle is a Dana 44
• I think the axles have 3.73 gears, I’m not 100% sure though
• It has 15”x8” black steel wheels with 32×11.50R15 Super Swamper TSL SX tires
• It has recently new Rancho leaf springs front and rear, unknown brand shocks (I’d say it has about a 3”-4” lift)
• The inside floor and roll cage were rhino lined
• It has older Mustang front seats
• Grant GT Steering wheel
• Has original speedometer gauge, the other gauges are aftermarket (tachometer, oil press, fuel level, battery level, and water temp)
• Electric windshield wipers
• Bikini top
• No radio, no heat, no power steering, no power brakes (drum brakes all the way around)
• The engine has custom full-length headers leading into dual exhaust exiting out each side, Holley intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor & air filter, off-line dual oil filters and an aluminum radiator
• It runs excellent but needs a few leaks fixed (where the off-line oil filters connect to the stock oil filter location on the block, at the bottom of the oil dipstick, oil pan, and the transmission (I don’t know exactly where it is leaking at the transmission))
• It needs a clutch adjustment”

Year? CJ-2A Columbus, TX **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000

“Willys Jeep, I think 47 or 49. original 4 cylinder, No title. Great Hunting Jeep. Lost Deer lease and jeep has been sitting in barn for a couple of years. Over the past few years I have replaced the altinator, starter, carburator, master cylinder(Brakes), front wheel cylinders(brakes), shocks, tires( I would guess tires have less than 50 miles on them). Runs good, Body in fair condition, camo paint job, reciever hitches on rear and front bumpers. Tow Bar on front. I have windshield, but its not on vehicle, easy to put on. Reciever rack in pic is not included. Headlights and dash light work. Bus seat mounted in back. Only problem is nickle size hole in top pan of radiator. I backed my tractor hay bail spear into Jeep. This jeep is great for putting around the ranch, taking folks to and from the deer blinds. Very quit. I have babied this jeep, because Willy is old”

This is a running M-151, though it is certainly dirty.

Gerald and his brother’s rebuilt Mighty Mite

• CATEGORIES: Builds, Mighty Mites This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Gerald and I were exchanges some emails and he mentioned that his brother and he rebuilt a Mitey Mite a few years back.  I think he was trying to inspire me with the Champs?  Here are a few pics.

Gerald wrote, “My brother did a Mity Mite a few years back.   Toughest project we ever worked on.  It was a basket case literally.”
