1959 FC-170 Mount Pleasant, IA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: FC150-FC170-M677 • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500

(06/02/2010) “This 1959 Jeep FC 170 is in good running condition. It is all original and starts and runs great. It has a Western 7′ snow blade that is in good working condition and included with it (blade not pictured). Original parts manual is included. The driver side window is cracked, tail light needs replaced, and there is a slow leak in the break line. Body is solid and in good condition with a small amount of rust (see pictures). That is to my knowledge everything that I know about it. This FC 170 is currently licensed and registered and is in driving condition. The odometer reading is unverified, but to my knowledge would be pretty close due to the condition of this Jeep. These are very rare and hard to find especially in this condition. If you have any questions you can contact me at 319-385-3399. A $500 deposit will be required immediately at auction ending. Must be paid in full by the time of pick up or delivery.”

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Michigan

• CATEGORIES: Museums This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Of course, the Walter P. Chrysler Museum has its share of jeeps to display.  Unfortuantely, the museum website doesn’t show any images of Jeeps and, in fact, barely mentions them.  Can anyone provide some feedback on a visit experience to this museum?

TIDBITS: The CJ-3B Page chronicles a 2007 parade of old Willys that dropped by the museum.  Also, a museum-owned 1945 CJ-2A was for sale as of 2008.  I don’t know if it sold or not.

I made a few searches and found a variety of images from the Chrysler Museum.  Here’s a great pic that shows a range of jeeps with a Willys MA in the foreground:

I ran across a variety of images of this MB on the internet:

This is a 1945 VEC CJ-2A:

This is a shot of a Jeepster:

1948 Truck Burlington, WI **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Jeep Rods, Willys Trucks • TAGS: , , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

Here’s a cool, custom 4 door truck.

“What you see here is a 1948 willys crewcab custom conversion, the back doors are suicide mounted. The conversion was done about 10 years ago and has held up very well. The interior has a stock bench rear seat, with a storage well beneath it. The front seats are cavalier buckets(grey) that do not match the buckskin on the rest of the interior. The truck has been on the road for the better part of decade and needs some freshening (to your tastes). The drivetrain is a Fresh rebuilt 454, .030 over with .500 lift cam and big oval heads, has performer intake with new performer carb, headers and a light porting on the heads. This thing is a tourque monster! will burn the tires at will.Tranny is a turbo 350 rebuilt approx. 2000 miles ago with a shift kit and billet internals, transfer case is np205 gear drive with 1350 rear joints, 1310 front joints. Front axle is scout 2 with disk brakes, rear axle is ford 9” 31 spline with spool, both are geared 3.73.Body exterior is painted flat black with a ton of custom pinstriping and paint work, looks like it has been tattooed!Paint is about 5 years old and has some issues (passenger rear door opened up at 60 mph, cracked a little but held up well!) but is still real good looking , especially if you like the rat rod look.Only reason its for sale is to fund a new project.Happy bidding!
