Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Abandoned frame-up restoration. Reproduction body from original press – red powder coat, new seat frames, gas tank all powder coated. Frame treated with Por-15, original engine, new wiring harness, new military style unidirectional tires, approx. 90% parts new, used, or original with jeep.”
The price is low. Unclear how much value his here.
“I have a Willys Jeep trailer from the 50’s or 60’s it is the civilian model not the military one. It would be good for parts or restoration, let me stress that fact. It would need some welding and body work to make it nice again or you could use it for parts, it has good 16 in rims and the trailer landing gear. I do not have the tailgate for it. Make an offer I have no use for the trailer so i would like to see a jeep guy get it and do something with it. “This is a 1949 CJ3A. It has a MB grill and windshield. Was purchased as a hobby for my boys and they have no interest. Gotta get it out of my garage. New wiring harness, gauges. Everything works fine. No emergency brake. Only serious inquiries need respond. Great jeep for the ranch or deer lease or just for having FUN.”

No updates for Sunday. We toured the backroads of the Washington’s Palouse area on Saturday. On Sunday we’ll be heading up to Spokane. From there we haven’t decided where we are heading. So, no updates tonight or Sunday, but I’ll make sure there will be something for Monday.
On the jeep hunting front, we found and took pics of a great old fiberglass racer in parked in ‘downtown’ Benge, Washington.
Here’s a photo from Steptoe Butte State Park, a place that has a 360 degree view of Washington’s Palouse area. We just happened by the entrance; I’d never heard of the place. Here’s Ann, I and Zollie (short for Zoloft) looking north over the surrounding farmlands.
