Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 Jeep CJ-2A, original PTO winch, 401 Big Block, Dual Exhaust, Full Roll Cage, Aluminum Arctic Top, military front end, custom gas tank, brake rebuild (hard/soft lines, pads, etc), POR-15 interior coating, stock wheels on it now, also set of 31″ (non-matching). Jeep has collector plates ($200 value), never register again.”

This September 1955 Willys News article discussed the use of jeeps in Africa for the upcoming Tarzan TV series.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000
“new engine, converted to 12v, new brakes, axles, gas tank, seats, tires, carburetor, fuel lines and pump. Hundreds of hours in the shop. Runs and drives perfect.”
It is supposed to include a 3-point hitch.
