Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. New gas tank, lines and fuel pump.
Rebuilt generator, starter and new 6 volt battery.
Stock Dana 44 rear and 25 front axles with 5.38 gears.
Very rare ventilating windshield.
Have original seat frames that need recovered.

“For sale late sixties CJ5 Auburn Jeep A Trench 1968? Would make a great yard truck/ Plow Jeep,comes with dirt plow and snow plow. Starts, runs good and drives , clutch feels good , no brakes . Body’s kinda rough but frame looks pretty good . Havent had a chance to go over it well to check everything but seems to be pretty complete , missing one of the augers. PTO engages and shaft spins . Not very familiar with these units so will try my best to answer any questions. Looks complete enough to restore or get going and use as is, or would be a great parts donor for another Auburn Trencher unit. Front counter weight there ,as is the creeper gear , pto assembly, Fhead motor, overload springs ( Canfields or Koenigs ?) etc Too many Jeeps to work on this one needs a new home $2800 Feel free to call,text, or email for details , I will try my best to answer all questions. “1959 and 1954 project Willy’s Jeeps for sale they both have the Kaiser Buick v6 engine both should make one. The 1959 on the left I have started and runs. I am asking $2300 or best offer for both.”
This fiberglass bodied CJ-5 has numerous custom mods. I’m curious as to whether the cage is bolted to the frame at all. No wipers?
“Fiberglass Body. Powder Coated frame. Fuel injected 4.3L Chevy Vortec V-6. SM465 transmission with Dana 18 transfer case. Both recently rebuilt by Anaheim Gear. Dana 44 rear end, Dana 27 front. 4.88 gears. Family Roll Cage fabricated and rear wheel wells notched for increased front leg room by Steel Nutz Murietta, CA. PRP Seats with 4 point harness’. Custom dash with Auto Meter Gauges. All new wiring with EZ Wiring harness. Front power disc brakes with 11″ rear drums. GM style power steering. 33×12.5″x15″ BFG Mud Terrain T/A tires. 15 gallon fuel tank relocated to the rear. Powder coated tank and skid plate. Smittybilt XRC front and rear bumpers with tow bar.
Approximately 400 miles since completed.
Clean title, current registration.”

That top looks in good shape.
“Near perfect oldie1959 willy cj5 jeep 4×4. There are only a few of these original cj5s left. The motor is the F-head 135 cid. It runs perfect. The 4×4 drive line and hubs are perfect. It still has the original “sears” aluminum top from when it was new. (oops! rims arn’t original). This is a completely rust free specimen including under seat fuel tank and tool well. The windshield should be replaced. The wipers and some dash wiring and speedo needs attention. Located in Hamilton Mt.”
