Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For Sale, CJ5 Jeep chassis to include frame, axles, springs, steering, wheels, tires, snowplow. Snowplow is hydraulic up, down, left, right and works. Can help load.”

Still needs a little work, but could be a good value.
“Selling a 1961 Willys cj5 jeep. This was a project and still needs some things finished. It was intended to build and keep. Plans have changed and this needs to go. Has been converted to a small block Chevy block numbers show it to be from the early 60’s chevy nova 283ci. Engine was removed and resealed with new torquer cam and aluminum intake. Has edelbrock carb on it now but is way to rich for the engine. Brand new small cap hei distributer. Has three speed manual transmission with twin stick transfer case. New battery, Fresh paint, bed lined inside tub. Complete brand new wiring harness from American auto wire. New fender flares, tires are near new condition.
Passenger seat has small tare. New custom aluminum half doors. New fuel tank mounted under the rear of the jeep instead of under driver seat. New CD player and speakers. Needs front driveline welded up and installed along with seat belts. Brakes need bleed again. Has bikini top and tube rear bumper that’s not pictured. Also have a spare tire and wheel and handy man jack that can go with. I’m sure I’m missing other stuff. I drive it around the house and it drives ok. With a little more work it could be a great jeep. Clean Colorado title in my name. Great winter project. Asking $4000”
