Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This generally looks pretty good except for the unusual bow/crack/look of the passenger side above the drain hole.

(09/21/2010) “AWESOME 1948 Willys Jeep w/ Chevy Engine, Edelbrock chrome 4 barrell carburetor, chrome air filter, chrome valve covers, manual transmission, 4wd with granny gears, custom roll bar, custom bikini soft top cover, power steering, electric cooling fan. She’s a beauty! $4,500 or best reasonable offer. Street registered. Great for hunting, 4 wheeling or just showing off at car shows! Runs well! No trades”

“1949 Willys Jeep CJ2A. Original flathead 4 Cylinder. Runs good, new carb, fuel pump, gas tank, plugs, wires and lots of other stuff. Just don’t have time to drive it anymore. This is a solid Jeep that would be an excellent restore or do nothing to it and have a great hunting rig. $3500.”

I’m wondering if this is actually a CJ-3A.
“Better than a four wheeler, cheaper that a side by side. Needs a windshield and a battery. Comes with a new soft top. Great for hunting season or beer runs. It was my grandpas but I need the money. Pretty original, no real rust to speak of. Make an offer.”
