This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (10/25/2016) It’s got some body rust and the engine is stuck.
“1946 Willys Jeep, last time it was running was 4 years ago, the L head motor won’t turn over at the krank, there has been fresh oil sitting in it all this time, I just put penetrating oil in the cylinders 11/01/2016, there is rust damage on the floor boards right underneath the seats, the 4×4 shifts fine, the transmission in it doesn’t shift freely, I have another transmission that shift fine, I’m sure the one in it would also after its lubed up, the wheels roll, I have the radiator and the wind shield but no glass in it. I just sent the paper work in for a new title 10-31-2016 takes to 2 to 6 weeks to complete the process. The tires are like brand new. $1600, open to trades:”

It lacks parking lights, so I wouldn’t say it is “perfect”.

Needs work. Has a variety of updates.
“46 Willy’s with 200ci Ford straight 6 with turbo, 3spd trans, twin stick tcase, 4:88 gears. Sprung under now but tabbed for SOA as well. This thing isn’t the prettiest, but it is trail tested and bomb proof. It does need the head put back on, wheel cylinders replace, and tires. Clean title and VIN plate in hand. (10/02/2016) This could be a flat fender on a CJ-5 Chassis given the engine and running gear. The driver’s side floor looks like it may have been patched.
“1946 Willys jeep. Freak’n sweet little ride. 66 era CJ running gear (original front diff).
Good pan new cherry bombs. Got 2 great sets of canvas doors. Top is good but it has shrunk so it doesn’t fit so well. $4,350obo”

(10/26/2016) “Runs drives and stops great. Has the odd fire 225 V6 with original 3 speed. Warn overdrive. Warn 8k lb winch. Upgraded Saginaw steering gear. Drives like a modern jeep. It has plenty of power and is capable of highway speeds with the overdrive. I have a heavy duty swing out spare tire rack for the back with a matching spare. I also have the tow bar setup for the front. Clean Ky title in my name.”
