This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Listed as a 1945 CJ-2A, it is more likely an early ’46.
“Great running and driving 1945 WWII era Willys Jeep CJ2A. Original Kaiser Supersonic flathead 4 cylinder and all original running gear. Owned by my US Army Veteran 86 year old dad. The lettering is vinyl, his old unit numbers etc. It received a major overhaul 20 or so years ago, wiring, brakes, shocks, all rubber hoses, brake lines etc, converted to 12 volts with alternator, 5 matching correct military tires. At the same time it got new rings and bearings, and valve job. Everything works as it should, high/low range, 4×4, lights, turn signals, horn, gauges etc. Dual gas tanks. New battery, fresh out of long storage. Paperwork is current. Clear title. Old paint, it’s a 20 footer. I have the top bows, not shown. Needs nothing. Oh, except wipers. And a new home.”

I PURCHASED THIS FROM A GENTLEMAN WHO STARTED THE RESTORATION BUT GAVE UP ON IT.
IT IS CURRENTLY BEING WORKED ON BY MY MECHANIC AND MYSELF AND IS VERY CLOSE TO BEING COMPLETED.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000.
(07/31/2016) “Jeep is in excellent shape. Restored about 10 years ago. Drive train is completely stock with exception of Warn Overdrive. Everything works and works well. Drives, steers, and brakes as intended. Some additional info:
Warn hubs
Interior Heater
Seats sliders installed for adjustment forward and back
Rhino Lined interior and under tub
Custom rear bumper for spare tire and 5 gallon fuel tank.
Custom front bumper
Ross steering box rebuilt…no slop.
Water pump new
Belts new
Thermostat new
Tires recently replaced
Fuel tank new (Also have original Willys fuel tank)
Also comes with any spare parts I have on hand.”
UPDATE: Listed as a 1947 chassis, Frank correct both Craig and I. Maybe I’m still a little sick?? Yeah, I’ll go with that!

Very little rust in the floors, overall solid.
Chevy 265 v8
11″ brakes all around.
Cutlass locking hubs.
Steering column swapped.
Otherwise original running gear.
New Bestop bucket seats.
New battery.

Open to trades for older Chevy, Ford and Dodge pickups.

Maybe used as a push jeep for sprint/midget car racing at one time? That might explain the bumper. I can’t explain the hardtop. Note the radiator hood bump, too.
