Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This 1953 Willys Station Wagon runs perfect with all mechanical updated and complete. Chevy 350 4 speed, tilt hood. new ez wiring done, 4 wheels like a rock crawler and cruises like a hot rod, and is ready for the interior. All new glass, and tires are about 70%.

“’51 Willys Wagon radials, with full size spare, chains. have jerry can n spare carrier for rear bumper, tow bar for front, drive train rebuilt, include m21 muncie, dana60 posi rear, 10 bolt front, 4:88s. Chevy 350 stock w/HEI and carter, aprox original 69k miles on motor, no rebuild. This was my hunting rig, its not a show truck, super fun 4×4, I dont hunt anymore. Unlimited project potential, I’ve owned it since ’99 n run about $10k into it. Need to pay some bills, will take $3,500 cash, no negotiate. “962 Willys Utility wagon, Runs, drives. very restorable, has some vintage patches on sides. drivable as is. barn find. good body, interior & mechanicals. 68,000 miles. parts all there. original engine, transmission & interior. never changed or altered. stored inside on jack stands. for details call”

(12/02/2014) This former Arizona wagon still looks solid.
“IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A RUST FREE JEEP 4X4 WAGON THAT IS NOT FULL OF PATCHES OR BONDO THEN THIS IS THE ONE. I THOUGHT THEY WERE ALL FULL OF RUST BASED ON PREVIOUS ONES I LOOKED AT. THIS ONE CAME FROM THE ARIZONA DESERT (STILL HAVE A COPY OF THE ARIZONA TITLE) AND THE BODY IS AS SOLID AS YOU WILL FIND ANYWHERE. INTERIOR IS VERY NICE. IT IS PAINTED IT OLIVE DRAB WITH CLEAR COAT AND IT LOOKS PRETTY DECENT.

Based on the pics, it needs a front bumper and some miscellaneous items at the very least.

“1949 Willys Panel 2 wheel drive. Currently has the 4cylinder engine, 3 speed transmission with overdrive. Was planning on putting a v6 or v8 in it, but this drive train was running and driving. Very straight body, not rusted out. Title in my name. Asking $3200 or best offer. May entertain trades. Don’t need to sell, just hate seeing it sitting and not high on my priority list of projects I have waiting in the wing. ”

The outside looks great. The engine compartment could use some cleaning.
