These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This February 2, 1951, photo in the Sycamore Tribune was front page news and highlighted the effects of a train hitting a jeep. I wish the photo quality was better.
UPDATE: That’s to Mark we’ve learned that at least one of these ads ran in the October 1950 issue of Capper’s Farmer magazine.
I don’t remember running across this ad. Note the lack of ‘Jeep’ promotion, part of Willys shift to the promote the Willys branding across the models.

“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A, $700 of 5 new tires and tubes, new wheel cyls. and master cyl. All brake lines flushed and bled. Has a 1960 Chevy 153 cu in. 90Hp engine rebuilt with new clutch by previous owner, runs great. Factory insulated Sears full cab, two heaters one on each side of cab. Solid frame, little rust on body, hitch, original Willys floor mats. 12V conversion, electric wipers. Nice.”
