Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This photo was featured in the September 24th, 1943, issue of the Sugar House Bulletin (SLC, UT).
Originally appearing in the Christian Science Monitor, this opinion piece was published in the Milford News, a newspaper out of Utah, on August 31, 1944. I think this piece is right on in terms of honestly evaluating consumer desires vs. the new jeep, hence part of the struggle Willys-Overland encountered at the turn of 1950.

Maury spotted these three jeep-related patches on eBay. I suspect they were removed from a jacket, as they look to have been sewn onto something.

All ready for LS engine, steering. Included 6 way BMW seats. No time to finish”

“Nice running jeep and plenty of power with the ford inline 6 cly 3 speed and military suspension. Good straight body with little rust, has been stored inside. Have full and bikini top, nice rear seat also comes with water and gas cans and high lift jack. Good tires and 4×4 works good”

“Need to sale my 1947 Willys Cj2a it’s in great running condition, over the last three years of ownership I replaced the suspension, steering assembly and rebuilt the transmission & transfer case, tires have very little where on them.
new carburetor, the grill has been replaced with an MB grill with LED headlights, custom professional made tail gate that holds two jerry cans (included) and spare tire also have a roll bar & sun top, current registration expires Aug 2020 & custom plate. pink slip in hand. asking $7300”
