This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (08/31/2019) Has some extra vents in the floor. This might have some free-lock hubs, but I can’t tell for sure.
“1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B $3000 obo This Jeep is in pretty good shape and mostly original for its age. The Good: Mostly original, except for the Solex carb and screw on oil filter; these are both improvements unless you’re after a nut and bolt restoration, and it would be easy to go back to stock if you want. Steel hardtop. Starts easily and runs and drives well. Body is in good condition for the age. The Bad: Brakes are adequate but not excellent. Some rust, the worst of it is in the passenger floorboard. Wiring is sketchy at best. The Ugly: It’s a CJ-3B. Some people love them, most think they’re hideous. I like it, but I guess I’m in the minority. In any case, I have too many projects and I don’t think I’ll ever get to this one”

“Around 45 to 48 willys cj2a jeep body is a little bad frame looks to be in great shape motor is locked up no info on the transmission. I believe that all the parts are there. I just don’t know how or have the time to restore it. So that’s why I’m going to let it go. I was doing some research on it and some what know how much to ask for it. “Willys Jeep, fiberglass body, flat fender, Muncie 4-speed transmission, 283 Chevy (has possibilities, but may be cracked), Holley Carb (needs rebuilding), boxed-in frame, soft top (no holes), original windshield (also not cracked). We have the title. No trades.”

1) This August 11, 1964, photo shows Frank Millard’s 4 Wheel Drive Center in Encino. There’s a pretty wide diversity of jeeps, including CJ-3BS, CJ-5s, A DJ-3A, Gladiators, and Wagoneers.

2) A September 24, 1943, photo of a Hollywood Bond Cavalcade with numerous stars.

3) A rare photo of the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Posse jeep.

Photo Caption: Photograph caption dated November 3, 1953 reads, “Members of Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Posse No. 11 take their jeep and mobile kitchen on trips into isolated areas to search for lost children and hunters. The men serve as volunteers in the rescue work on a 24-hour-a-day schedule. Viewing the new 1,200-watt auxiliary power plant are, left to right, Capt. R. M. Boyd, Lancaster Station, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, commander of the posse; Sgt. R. F. Brown, co-ordinator, and Capt. Jack Bones.
4) These boys were photographed on July 18, 1958, while riding on the African Jungle Safari Ride at the Pacific Ocean Park (aka POP … see more images on PINTREST) in Santa Monica.

5) This photo was taken as part of the Los Angeles Attacks Army-Navy Show on January 4, 1944.
