This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is what is known in the Jeep world as a Jeep Salad. It’s built up from parts of several old Willys from various years.
The chassis is mid-50s Wagon with the L6-226 flathead engine.
Original 12V generator system
Transmission and transfer case are standard T-90 and D-18
Rear axle has coil, overload springs added for greater payload.
Stake bed is a hydraulic tilt bed – PTO driven. It’s a well done, home made job. and it works.
Dual exhaust stacks are obviously home made.
Good tires and a non-matching spare
Rear window glass cracked
Driver window cracked – may have a spare
Windshield good
Lights work
Engine needs head gasket – purchased but not yet installed
Needs fuel pump – also purchased but not yet installed.
We’ll knock $100 off if you want to do those yourself.
New gas tank

“1948 Willy’s CJ2A project. This is a project that I bought 10 years ago and haven’t finished. Chassis was stripped, sandblasted, and epoxy primered. Motor has been completely rebuilt. I have all the original body pieces such as the tailgate, windshield, seats, etc. I had hat channels custom made for under the body to mount to the frame. Frame is rolling with engine and tranny sitting in it. Body pieces are sitting throughout my shop. If interested text me and I will send pics.”
