Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $8000.
It looks clean, though not restored quite to original.
“I’m selling my beautiful 1948 CJ2A. Restored to original condition. I drive it around town, but want to clear the room for another restoration. The engine, transmission, body and suspension all original. I have the bows for the top but never installed it. It has been converted to 12 volt. Runs great!”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
This is an interesting rig. It’s listed as a 1956, but it’s got a ’52/’53 hinged grille. It’s got an M-38A1 body, but doesn’t have the battery cowl lid or lip.

Motor is a 232 Ambassador 6 not the small 4 & 6 cylinder motors offered.
All Canvas in good shape…windows zip down…ready for a winch…has hitch for towing.
Motor does not smoke at all….fresh points and new Coil…fresh Oil Change and Filter…fresh fuel filter and new air cleaner.
I have some extra parts such as races and bearings and seals for the front locking hubs…so ask for them if you buy the jeep.”
UPDATE: This was supposed to have been auctioned in Nov. 2017. Either it didn’t sell or it did and the buyer is ready to sell.
