Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Classic military style 1/4 ton 1945 Bantam T3C Trailer, Serial # 1268
If you know what the above means then you know how rare they are.
Great starting point for a full restoration or use for the tub and parts if you already have one.
Great platform to build an expedition trailer.
The details:
-Older style Tube supports on the rear
-Original axle/leaf springs, landing leg, marker lamps and tailgate are gone.
-Replacement axle uses a 5×4.5 bolt pattern instead of the original 5×5.5”

The M-38 is the military Jeep and has a better frame, stronger Dana 44 rear diff. And no wood in the frame to make it rust. There is no rust through on this jeep and the hat channels are in great shape. Although someone must not have liked the shovel indents because they bonded them in!? There is a lot of Bondi on the Jeep but I don’t see any rust!

This Kelly Manufacturing “Safari” Hardtop postcard was for sale on eBay. I’ve never run across a brochure for this.
This photo was taking in 1951 and shows Bill Warren in front of his modified jeep. It looks like a simple convertible top is stowed on the rear of the jeep.

I haven’t seen a tall hunting jeep rack like this one in a while. Jeep itself appears fairly unmolested.

CLEAN TEXAS TITLE, 52″ LED LIGHT BAR, EVERYTIHING HAS BEEN DONE TO THE JEEP JUST NEEDS A COAT OF PAINT, HUNTING RACK BOLTS IN EASY TO REMOVE, DRIVES DOWN THE HIGHWAY GOOD. REAR SEAT IS INCLUDED NOT IN THE PICTURE WITH THE HUNTING RACK IN IT.”
Looks to be in beautiful shape. Has some minor updates.
“Up for sale is a very nice 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. It has been taken down to the bare frame and rebuilt from the ground up. It runs and drives well. I believe the drive train to be the original. Since it ran so well, the motor wasn’t rebuilt but was mostly disassembled for cleaning, gaskets and paint. The transmission and transfer case were both disassembled and rebuilt. The rear end was partially disassembled, re gasketed, painted and reassembled. The body was completely disassembled, all signs of rust were repaired.”

This has Tera low gears and a center seat of some type.
“Has clear title. The jeep runs, but does needs some work. Had Tera 3.15:1 gears put in transfer case years ago. Has not been on the road since 2012”
