It runs, but leaks a bit.
“Military Jeep; 1953 M38A1 ¾ ton. This Jeep is in fair condition for being 63 years old. It runs but has leaky seals. Lots of spare parts including two tops and doors. $5000 firm”
Is there something from a ’54 here? Looks more like a Jeepster Commando.
“1954 Jeep Willy’s Rat Rod. 430 CI Buick motor with a turbo 400 automatic transmission. Supposedly LOW miles on motor and trans (60k) Plugs wires, and recent tuneup has been done recently. New locar shifter. The original Jeep frame has been notched and channeled in order to lower. Square tubing and a platform done in the rear to still be able to haul anything if needed. The front has a complete disc brake setup from speedway attached on a 50s pickup axle. The top has been chopped 8″. 20 Gallon tank fastened to the underside so the original filler neck is still used. Doors and tailgate opens and shuts, metal work has been done inside. Also has temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, volt gauge, etc. Countless hours of work has been done to this jeep and there is not another one out there like it! This car draws a crowd wherever it goes, it’s fast, loud, and mean as hell! Car comes with a clean title.”

UPDATE: Price dropped to $15,000.
(05/07/2017) Needs some exhaust work.
“I am selling a near complete restored 1944 Ford GPW Army Jeep from WW2. The vehicle has a recently rebuilt Go-Devil Engine, carburetor, and radiator. A truly accurate restoration with the only modification being the 12 volt battery conversion. The comes with many original items such as a canvas summer top, first aid kit, axe, fuel can, and more. The vehicle still needs the some minor work on the exhaust which causes the fuel pressure to drop and cannot drive far until this final problem is resolved, however the vehicle idles perfectly and can be driven onto a trailer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7900.
Looks in good shape. Would make a find parade jeep.
“This is a 1947 Willy’s Jeep CJ-2A in military dress. It is in excellent condition. electrical was recently updated to use a 12v system. The maintenance has been well documented. The title is clean and the tags are current for another 11 months. It will come with all the manuals, parts books, log books, spare parts and lubricants that I have for it.”
Runs and drives.
“Runs and drives, you can drive it where you want today. Original 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission. Mostly original except wheels/tires and seats. Recently tuned up the engine and it runs good. Newer gas tank. All gauges seem to work except gas gauge. Original 6V wiring system. Odometer says 50K 5 digit and seems to work. I don’t have a top, basically what you see in the pictures is what you get. I took the Jeep on a trade deal, I was considering very strong to keep it around but things have changed and I now am looking to sell it. Clean title ready to sell.”
It does include a windshield.
“1948 Willies CJ2A. Runs and drives good, has been converted to a 12 volt system. McKenzie steering. Warn hubs. Original L head. Four cylinder. Needs transmission seals and occasionally pops out of first gear. It has a windshield which needs work. $6000 (Low Blue Book) or best offer.”
