(01/28/2015) Joe bought this and repaired it.
“This was a one owner Willys that I got a few months ago. I have made the following repairs. New master cylinder, 4 new wheel cylinders, all new brake shoes, all new rubber brake hoses, one new rear steel brake line. New gas tank, new 6 volt battery and voltage regulator. New correct battery hold down. New coil, plug wires, cap, rotor, plugs and points. New 6 volt battery cables. New clutch fork and throw-out bearing, new clutch pivot arm assembly. One NOS vacuum wiper motor. New exhaust manifold gasket. Almost new front tires. It needs a few items to be 100 % such as two new matching rear tires and a muffler and tail pipe. It runs and drives great all the gauges work correctly.”

The May 1957 issue of Willys News covered the 2nd Annual Jeep Derby in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Among the racers were Bud Jackson from the Hemet Jeep Club and Wally Klingele and Barney Nelson from the Yakima Ridge Runners. Klingele and Nelson drove their jeeps to the event! Only 14 of the 20 entrants completed the eighty mile race.
