1930’s Video of Fords from the UK
John spotted this video. There aren’t any jeeps, but there is some off road action in 1930s Fords. A fun video to watch.
“This evocative film from the early 1930s takes the viewer on a journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats, giving them to opportunity to see all manner of Ford vehicles from that period in action. This includes Ford Populars and V8s through to trucks, tractors and even boats — all using Ford engines. We see some impressive off-road action alongside nostalgic views of the British countryside along the way.”

1945? CJ-2A Salado, TX **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2250.
It’s not a 1945. It has a mix of parts. Possibly a GPW frame. Has a military fender.
“For Sale: Willy’s Overland 1 9 4 5 Open Jeep.
99% Original Flat Head “Go Devil” engine, original 3-speed transmission and high / low range transfer case, 16″ steel rims. Runs & shifts excellent.
The Jeep’s Tub is in good shape. The floors have been replaced with OEM replacements about 15 years ago. The tub is rust free, no rot, even in the jack compartment. The rear bed has been replaced with 3/32″ diamond plate steel. All the metal work was professionally welded and looks superb.
The jeep runs excellent, & has the 12V conversion, but the brakes are bad. It needs a new Master cylinder. An auxiliary gas tank is currently in use because the original gas tank finally gave out. Both seat frames broke a long time ago, only the bases remain. The top back parts were un-salvageable. We never had a rear seat in the Jeep. The front driver’s side glass is cracked.
It’s time for another restoration and/or rebuild. It’s a great hunting jeep, but we want it to go to a home that has more time and money to put into it.
*What is not original: The front bumper had a tube bumper installed at some point during it’s previous owner’s possession, so that needs to be re-done, and of course, it needs a new gas tank. The emergency brake system was removed. It does come with a full size 16″ spare.
