This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Have it out already it’s a np435 with Dana 20 case.. 4 link rear with blue torch trusses and Fox shocks.. Front is still springs Dana 44 axles locked front and spool in rear.. Has big aluminum fuel cell.. 8k pound warn winch.. 36 tsls on bead locks $4000”

“I’ve come across hard times, and need to sell/trade my 1949 Willys Wagon.
It’s in very good shape for its age, and is 99% original, with a few upgrades.
I don’t really really want to throw a price out, but will say I could use a strong running full size truck or van, looks aren’t as important. Preferably a manual trans., and 4 wheel drive. Something that will tow a small household, and something ready to drive across country right now, with no major problems. I’m willing to trade outright, or throw in some cash.”

Non-running.
“1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep. Jeep appears to be all original but will need some work. This old Willys spent most if not all of it’s life on a cattle ranch above Springville, CA. It has the original L134 flathead motor and the motor is free but I haven’t tried to start it. Most of the floor forward of the cargo area is rusted out and will have to be replaced. The original square cornered windshield with the push out two part center glass is included but that also needs some work.”

(05/20/2014) There’s a transfercase shifter missing. Runs and drives.
“Rare model. Only 50,172 made from 1955 to 1975. It has a 20 inch longer wheel base than the cj5. Original Dauntless 225 v6 Buick Fireball manufactured by Kaiser. Runs and drives great even without power steering. I have a new NOS speedometer 90 mpg received from Vietnam. A new HEI distributor still in box, a new Best top Tiger top still in box. Extra windshield with motor and misc moldings.”

(09/24/2014) Seller says this ‘will’ go fast. Unclear if it currently goes fast.
“1949 jeep willy– must see!! It will go fast! A very nice project, no rust, clean title, need to connect the gas tank, front lights, I have many extra parts ( new & original) Again this is a PROJECT.. ONLY SERIOUS BUYERS! Also you will need a trailer to take the jeep… Thank you“
Mosquito abatement departments powered a large number of jeep sales. This June 1955 article highlights the sale of jeeps to the Chicago District’s South Cook County area.
Whether dragging wood or ferrying kids, this april 1956 article in Willys News reported that jeeps were used in a variety of ways. Unfortunately, no pics were included.
Looks like a comfortable place to sleep to me.
