This May 1955 article from Willys News (no pics) shares the story of a fire jeep demonstration that became a real fire fight. You can learn more about Jeep Commando Fire Engines on the CJ-3B page.
You’d think any car that can get to 60MPH in less than ten seconds couldn’t be a Willys. But, Paul discovered that the new Willys AW 380 Berlinetta can do that and more! It’s reminiscent of the Interlagos, which I got a chance to check out this past spring thanks to Dan.

“This is 1942 GPW world war 2 jeep. It has been painted and worked on so it is not completely original.
It runs good and has great interior on the front and back seats.
We are also unable to read the odometer so we have not listed the odometer reading.
Definitely a collectors item for those interested.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was “Make Offer”.

Optima yellow top battery. Deaver front and rear custom leaf springs. Runs great and registration is up to date with clean title in hand, too many projects going on right now and no time to spend on this one. I am looking for the room with three other jeep projects going on right now so I am flexible on the price, so shoot me an offer and come down and drive it. ”

Gas tank has been moved to the rear.
“This vehicle is very fun to drive and will turn heads and start conversations everywhere you go. The CJ6 is highly uncommon if not rare (at least it is rare these days), yet is still easy to find parts for & work on. It is basically a CJ7 with a wheelbase and cabin that is stretched by 20 inches, so from what I understand (& have verified by my experience), most parts off of a CJ7 of the same era will work on a similarly equipped CJ6. It appears to me that this vehicle has the original 225 ci Dauntless V6 in it, which still starts right up and provides plenty of power. The transmission is a manual 3 speed with a PTO which you should be able to engage using a lever near the gear shift, however I am unsure if the PTO works or not. This has been a very fun car to own, but my wife and I are having a baby and moving and it is time to sell it. Hopefully this Jeep will find a new home with someone who will enjoy it as much as I have.”html
