John shared these photos taken by his cousin Eddie.

“My cousin Eddie Bachmann got drafted in May 1944, ended up south of the battle of the Buldge around Hagenau, France, in january 1945 as a mortar man. The 42 Division went on to liberate Dachau in April 1945 and by mid summer were occupation troops in Zell am See, Austria. By that time he was a 6 stripe Sergeant and still only 18. Here are some photos of his buddies and Jeeps. He later became a Catholic priest.”

“1946 Willys CJ2A. Beautifully restored 1st civilian jeep produced. Has overdrive,Warn winch,12 volt electrical conversion,tow bar and a bikini top. New steel tub,exhaust,electrical,upholstery,top and doors,Wrangler tires (5).*Rebuilt ,original drivetrain; motor,transmission,brake system and fuel system. *Absolutely one of the finest Willys Cj 2A’s out there. I will include receipts/ documentation of build and picture binder.Drive to car shows and win trophies or take it to the hills and enjoy. It draws attention wherever I drive it. It’s very nice. $15,500. Calls only. The Willys looks orangish in the pictures.It is actually bright red in color.I have put less than 500 miles on it in the past 5 years so it is time to sell.Always garaged.”

48 willys cj2a. Great condition. All steel rust free. Frame is mint. Por 15. Buick 3.1 with a 3 speed. 34/9.5/15 super swampers. Very quick. Tops out around 50 mph. Headers to dual. Sounds great. Motor was rebuilt last year. Needs a slave cylinder. Very simple job. Right on the side, not behind the tranny. Definitely a head turner. Injury forces sale. Make me an offer.
