A reader named Jim forwarded this interesting CJ-2A. The body appears in very good shape. It sports a column shift and a PTO. It appears to have a CJ-3B windshield. With the 3 dash panels and the column shifting, I’d guess this (or part of it) is actually a mid 1946 rather than a 1948.

I got word earlier this morning that a reader located a Ford GP. Here’s an early look at the find. Boy, is he excited. I’ll provide updates when I learn more.

Matt writes:
“This is latest to emerge from Edmund Angelus Automotive, a 1946 CJ-2a. This was originally a Boyer Fire Jeep. This unit came to us literally carried in pieces, taken apart way beyond necessary for 3200 mile vehicle. Build time 22 weeks.”
It appears there are four levers (tranny, two tc, and either an OD or a PTO), but I can’t tell which.
“I have a 53, ideal for a parts vehicle. Four intact fenders, Hood, and straight body. Transmission lost 2nd gear, so it has been sitting for long enough to where the motor needs a rebuild too. I know it has enough parts on it to warrant the price, so i am not very flexible.

Based on the pics from craigslist and eBay, this is an MB body and grille. I would hazard a guess that the rest of this is an MB as well.

It appears this CJ-3B has not tailgate. I’m not sure if that’s a customization or not. I have not heard of CJ-3Bs that have no tailgates. The body looks pretty rough.
“1958 Willys jeep CJ3B. Needs a new Body. It has lock out hubs, Superlift suspension and 32″ Coopers. It runs with an auxillary fuel tank and needs a carb rebuild. Engine is nice and quiet, transmission shifts good, 4×4 works. I was using it in the woods untill a front brakeline broke. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $950.
The back of this jeep appears to be solid. I can’t tell for sure. It also appears this jeep has a full floating rear end. Obviously, the body has been modified a bit.

It looks pretty stock, has no engine and sports a column shift.
“Im cleaning out the barns for the spring, here is a 1956 Willys DJ-3A. Has the column shift, with factory hard top, and sliding doors. No Engine, has transmission, and all correct column shift parts. Body is in decent shape with some surface rust, and a little on the floors. Call Brandon at 412-818-9570 or email me….lets talk. Engine that is in pics does not come with, it is an incorrect engine.”
