The seller of this jeep wants $18000, though the jeep is not completed yet.  Whether you agree with the price, you'll probably enjoy looking through the 40+pics of the jeep and its various parts.

"This is a 1945 MB, WWII military jeep, that has been meticulously restored over the last 15 years. It is 85-90% finished, with boxes and boxes of parts, and everything needed to complete it. The parts used have been predominately NOS (New-Old-Stock: vintage parts still in the boxes), as when the project was begun there was still a supply of original vintage parts, and if a person was patient and willing to pay – could seek them out. This jeep is solid, and great care was even used to preserve all of the original spot welds, which as this is a military vehicle built for combat – it has plenty, and wears them proudly!"

This looks to be a nice baby blue CJ-2A.  Oddly, the lower part of the top slopes downward as it runs from the driver's door to the back of the jeep.  Maybe the top connectors slope down on the body, but that would be odd I would think.

“1962 DJ-3A Willys Jeep Dispatcher,4 CYL, 3 speed column shift, needs total restoration, ran fine when parked. Purchased the Jeep roughly 26 years ago. Was my daily driver for years. My son’s classmates used to call him GI Joe when I dropped him off to school. Wanted to restore it with my son but 1 home and 3 children later, he just doesn’t have the time. Title states that it is a 1954 but the vin number says that it is a 1962.”

UPDATE:  The seller has reposted this on eBay with more pics.

This looks to be the same fiberglass body as my first jeep.  The seller is correct; this body is light — I used to move the body myself by crouching underneath it and picking it up on my back (my current body is somewhat heavier).  However, I disagree with the seller; this body makes a fine jeeping body.  But, if used for jeeping, tie a cage to the frame and use the cage to help support the body.

“1949 Willys CJ 2 A/B, I have one title with no vin plate, Two Straight solid frames, Light weight single wall fiberglass body tub (not my recommendation for serious off road use, good for a sand buggy), Overhead valve inline 4 cylinder engine (from a 3B or early CJ-5), 2 T 90 transmissions with transfer cases, 2 sets of stock willys axles, one of which has new brake shoes and hardware”

Tom, from Forks, Washington, has a new CJ-5 project he's purchased.  He had a question about the location of the vin plate on the body.  He thought it should be on the passenger side firewall, but that's where the battery holder is located.  Anyone know where the vin plate is on a 50s CJ-5?
