This Northwestern Auto Parts and Wilenskey Auto parts ads in the January 05, 1947, issue of the Star Tribune out of Minneapolis highlighted engine kits that allowed a jeep engine and transmission (which was included with the purchase), along with the necessary mountings, to be installed into certain Ford, Plymouth, and Chevrolet vehicles. I wasn’t aware there were kits design to do this.

“1947? Willys Jeep. No engine and comes with some extra parts. It has not been registered in decades, and the title is missing. I was told it is a 43, but I’m not a jeep expert and several people have told me it is 46 up. I don’t know how to confirm this. Your guess is likely better than mine. It could be fun for someone who has more time than I but it’s a project I can’t find the time to dig into.”
1955? CJ-3A Anaheim, CA $2200
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2200.

This video that Mike spotted includes a hood that was used in German as part of a ceiling (several hoods were used, then later auctioned on eBay). You can see this hood, along with other hoods, in this post.
