Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Up for sale is a 1950 Willys Jeepster Overland, This vehicle has very good bones and would make an excellent restoration project. Body is solid although quarter panel on driver side has some rust..As you can see in pictures the top has a good frame and the seats are all there but will need reupholstered.. The original engine has been replaced with a 455CI, 4BBL four speed with power steering and the steering column as well. Some of the body paint is peeling but the metal is really in great shape.Under carriage is also very solid. Also along with this we have a number of extra parts including hoods, vent windows, two more top frames and many other items. The asking price is $5500 for everything”

(11/26/2020) There’s a company out of Illinois selling drag ‘jeep’ fiberglass bodies called Dunn & Gone Racing, Inc. (some of the ads on the racing junk site are old, so, this may or may not be available).

“I have two 1946 Jeep CJ2As for sale. The one with the hard top has a tub that’s still in one piece. You might be able to fix this tub too. The fenders on that one are fairly nice. The other one’s tub is shot. Both Jeeps still have their original motors/transmissions, etc. (L134, T90, Dana 18) The drivelines are both complete. I did not check if the motors turned over. Frames are both in good shape. Perfect for parts for a build or to put these two together to make a CJ2A”
