This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Ready for restoration! Body is in good condition – some engine work has been done – newer brakes and wheels. Great Christmas gift for a Jeep enthusiast! We’ll supply a big red bow!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay. Note the early VIN of 16024.
“1946 Willys CJ-2A Millitary jeep carry over, This is a partially restored Willys that was never completed. Traded to us on a new Ford F150. Here is a partial list of what I know has been done. The rusty panels have been replaced (1) tub floor, (2)Forward floors. Driver and passenger seat recovered, new fuel tank,converted to 12volt, rebuilt short block, runs and drives. The entire Willys has been primed with heavy duty powder coat (could be painted)including frame. No rust in frame. (see photos).This Willys Runs and drives but the carb needs rebuilt. It also has new front turn signal lenses and chrome headlamp bezels, new steering wheel. Odometer shows 41,017 but I have no way of knowing if it is accurate.”
Here’s an unusual arrangement of rear sitting.
“All bearings, brake parts and lines, steering linkage, wiring harness, gas tank and gas line, windshield and gasket, radiator, fuel pump, carbuator, water pump, alternator, hoses, all replaced with new parts. Electrical converted to 12 volt. Engine has oil filter cartridge system. All clutch parts new. This vehicle is a solid runner. It has 16 inch rims, which are not the original 15 inch rims. Tires are 7.50X16 and are probably 25 years old with tubes and have always held air. I have owned this jeep since 1987 and have done all of the work except rebuilding the engine, which was done professionally. Drives good, no shimmy. Floor starter. All guages replaced with new, however the gas guage needs to be replaced as it was burned out when the conversion to 12 volt was done. This jeep is ready to use.”

This appears in good shape. The mileage is listed at just over 27,000 miles. It’s got some mini terras also.
“1961 WILLYS JEEP 1 OWNER 27060 ORIGINAL MILES. SOME RUST SPOTS, SNOW BLADE INCLUDED. HAS A FUEL PUMP LEAK. JEEP RUNS GOOD. ORIGINAL MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION. GOOD RESTORATION PROJECT FOR A JEEP COLLECTOR”

“1955 M38A1 Willy’s Jeep. All new tune up with coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, all fluids changed also new water pump, carb, and fuel pump. A very cool little jeep the front fenders have been trimmed and a lot of the army stuff is gone but still has the machine gun mount! lol just in case you need that.. 95% on 31×10.5 mud tires and new steering stabilizer. Has top but no doors. Also 6000lb winch that works and CB. Has a little rust but nothing bad. Also has tow bar.”

“Very sharp 1957 Willys Jeep with original drivetrain. This is a great offroad toy and can be driven on the street as well. This is a small price for such a classic! Will consider trade for a muscle, classic, or sports car.”

“This is the nicest I have seen and am positive if you look at it you will fall in love . The price is firm and very fair It has been stored in a nice warm garage most of its life and moved to my house recently Its owned by a well known , respected and loved Jeep expert and owner of the now closed Pioneer Jeep in Peabody Ma. it was his special family time vehicle and has spent alot of its time just sitting on display at his dealership being enjoyed by everyone . 6cyl 3 speed on the floor with overdrive and four wheel drive I love this vehicle and will hate to see it go”

“1952 M38A1 Willys military jeep. This unit has been completely refurbished top to bottom. All components are new or refurbished. 24 Volt electrical system. Deep Water fording equipped, including all sealed electrical components and intake and exhaust above roofline. All original, no modifications from stock. Matching 1/4 ton trailer.”

“this is a very solid neat old jeep . it has been set up very nicely with a small block chevy everything done right . IT HAS A EARLY TO MID 60S 283 IN IT. the body is very straight with very little rust. the chrome grill strips are even in very good shape it is a 4×4 a sun roof has been profesionly put in {good or bad ???} even the original wood slats are in very good shape 2000 OBO OBO TRADE FOR HUNTING THINGS OR ???? ”

“HEY CHECK OUT THIS BEAUTY, WILLYS JEEP, SECOND WORLD WAR 1941 ERA. WAS ORIGINALY USED BY THE YANKS TO FIGHT THE SPANISH ON THE PHILIPPINE ISLAND OF LEYTE, THEN WAS USED IN P.N.G AND STILL HAS P.N.G NUMBER PLATE….AND BULLET HOLES IN DASH BOARD…. IT STILL STARTS AND RUNS AND BLOWS NO SMOKE….THE GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM ASSURED ME DRIVE TRAIN IS IN WORKING ORDER…I HAVE STARTED IT BUT NOT DRIVEN IT….SERIOUS POTENTIAL FOR A FULL RESTO JOB….ITS 68 YEAR OLD ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE, LESS A COUPLE OF BODY HANDLES, HAS ALL ORIGINAL ENGINE AND RUNNING GEAR….ENGINE STAMP IS MB….”
