Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have Two Willys JEEPSTER projects both are 1950. I have enough parts to build both vehicles. These are two door four seat convertibles (Phaeton) style vehicles. These are very nice custom builder projects with pallets of spare parts. One body is on a highly modified original frame with four wheel independent suspension and four wheel disk brakes. The other body does not include a frame and can easily be fit to a Toyota Four Runner chassis or something similar. A zero time Mercedes-Benz 300 Turbo diesel engine and transmission are available at an extra cost”

“Fun car. Head turner for sure. Great parade car. Runs and drives great. It’s 71 years old so it’s got it’s leaks and quirks but easy stuff to manage. New water pump, fuel pump and fuel filter. Three on the tree manual. Seats and top are all in really good shape. I’ve had it serviced in the last year by a mechanic. Trying to get my garage back and ready to play with something else. Serious inquiries only.”

“1948 Willy’s Jeepster. Great 4×4 in very good shape considering the age. Was built and converted to 4×4 by friend whom I purchased this vehicle about 12 years ago. 350 crate motor, sm420 tranny, Ford 9″ rear, Dana 20 transfer case, Dana 44 Front, bikini top. I have probably put a toal of 1000 miles on this rig in the 12 years I’ve owned it, I’ve come to the realization it’s better off in somebody elses hands. I just had extensive brake work done.
