Mini Willys Jeep Project $1,000 Sutton, MA

Mini Willys Jeep Body, Frame, Engine (Project) $1,000 Sutton, MA

Neat little project, never priced these out so no clue on value here, but it does look like some decent detail in the body kit. Folks convert the riding mowers into some really neat small trail rigs, this would look neat in that fashion.

Information from seller:

All steel mini Jeep body and tractor frame. Body includes hood, grille, windshield (folds down, no glass), seat and top bows. Tractor frame and mower deck included in price. Has engine but I’ve never run it so I don’t know if it runs. Bought as a project but don’t have time to take on right now.

1947 Willys Jeep – Auction

• CATEGORIES: Auctions, CJ-2A, Unusual This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Lots of work here, and a pretty nice custom Jeep with hardtop.

Some interesting modifications:

  • Later CJ3 windshield mounted vertically to accommodate door hinges (interesting solution).
  • Jerry can mounted in front of the grille (wonder how that might affect cooling).
  • Not sure what the ’59 Caddy front bumper bullets are for…
  • Custom oil filter (spin-on?) on the engine

More photos (and a video) available — but unfortunately no interior photos. Listed as VIN: J143173

So here we have three separate auctions, each for the same Willys Overland Service sign. The auctioneer (Vail International Incorporated) will ship (good news) and again I ask: “Where will you find another?” (Well, the auctioneer found three, but that’s besides the point)…

ANTIQUE PORCELAIN WILLYS SERVICE OVERLAND SIGN (Auction #2)

ANTIQUE PORCELAIN WILLYS SERVICE OVERLAND SIGN (Auction #3)

1950 CUSTOM BUILT JEEP WILLYS CJ3 Crosley Wagon Beach Cruzer Sanford, ME

Andy’s Picks

Odd-Bod 2A in ME. Answers the question for me of “Would the Crosley look cool mashed up with a Willys?”

(Tim’s Notes: Fathers Day is right around the corner so if you are looking for that one of a kind gift for that Dad who is hard to buy for, I was very surprised when I clcked the link, but 100% give them the Creative Award and it runs and drives and that’s a lot more then a lot of my projects!)

Information from Seller:

ONE OF A KIND JEEP WILLYS cj3 nose with 1948 Crosley wagon body a MG HEALEY DRIVE TRAIN 4 cylinder 4 spd manual transmission

custom frame  CUSTOM HOOD SEATS FLOORS.

This gets more attention than my $50k muscle car and it’s not your everyday antique car .

Custom station wagon that runs drives stops(clutch needs bleeding to drive).

Updated electronic ignition new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder.

The car was purposely made to look rusty but IS NOT RUSTY the frame and underneath are clean.

LIGHTS WORK just needs finishing touches. It’s a conversation piece I put a lot of time in restoring it to be a rolling advertisement must be seen to appreciate.

There is around $$8000 in just the built of this panel wagon creation

I am hoping to get $4800 or I am willing to trade this for a side by side utv antique truck or maybe a jeep jk wrangler. I will add cash for good trade offers and want cash for not so good trade offers. If you like jeeps cj Willy’s this is one of a kind

Willys Knight Whippet Advertising Dealer DSP Sign – Auction

• CATEGORIES: Advertising & Brochures, Auctions, Unusual This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Couple of notes on this auction – first, what a rarity. Yes, the condition isn’t great, but where will you find another?

Second, this has a minimum opening bid of $250 (kind of a potential “gotcha” as I’ve seen other items listed with very high required opening bids–buyer beware!)

Still, I think this is a pretty cool item, and will be a great addition to someone’s garage…(maybe yours?)

Willys Knight Whippet Advertising Dealer DSP Sign

Location: Jackson, MI 49201

(Note the auctioneer is willing to ship this item)

In the listing, the auctioneer has added multiple additional close up photos better detailing the condition of the sign.

XM818 5 Ton Tractor Truck 6×6 – Auction

• CATEGORIES: Unique Jeeps, Unusual This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Here’s one you don’t see every day (well, frankly I’ve never seen one before, so…)

XM818 5 Ton Tractor Truck 6×6

Location Apollo, PA 15613

These 6×6 trucks were made in many different configurations, beginning in 1951 (and yes built by Kaiser as well as AM General in later years). Lots of good information about the series here on Wikipedia, and also on SteelSoldiers.com (a great website by the way, if you’ve never visited).

Here’s a bit on the XM818 from Wikipedia:

“Tractor trucks were used to tow semi-trailers up to 37,500 lb (17,000 kg) with 15,000 lb (6,800 kg) on their fifth wheel. Semi-tractor/trailers have to stay on relatively flat ground, and are not rated for full off-road use. On improved roads they could tow up to 55,000 lb (25,000 kg) with 25,000 lb (11,000 kg) on their fifth wheel.”

Pretty significant towing capacity(!) and although the bid is only ~$300 currently, it is listed as non-running, so I wonder…how would you ever get this home?

This would definitely be a cool project if you have the time, knowledge and space! (And I’m betting you’d have the only one when you show up to your local “Cars and Coffee”!)

FC-150 as a Farm Jeep

FC-150 as a Farm Jeep – by Barry @ Farm Jeep

www.farmjeep.com has focused on the Jeep CJ series. While researching snowplows last winter, I came across this eWillys post – https://www.ewillys.com/2010/08/13/1957-fc-150-jamestown-nc-ebay/ Here is evidence that at least one individual used the FC-150 as a Farm Jeep.

Fast forward to the Spring Willys Reunion in North Canton, OH. While talking to some friends, I saw an FC-150 pull into the motel parking lot. As the driver parked, I could see a PTO on the rear! An FC-150 Farm Jeep in the wild. I quickly tracked down the owner, Seth Hensler. Seth, who goes by the name of “redeye_garage” on social media, was kind enough to give me a tour of the FC’s PTO setup.

For demonstration purposes, Seth has attached a fertilizer spreader. You can see more details in this picture.

Seth has a YouTube channel where you can see more of the FC-150, including this one that shows the PTO working at an antique machinery show –

We will soon add FC-150 information from Seth and others to the Farm Jeep site. In the meantime, please let us know if you have seen an FC-150 as a Farm Jeep at a show or in the wild. You may leave a comment here or contact me at barry@farmjeep.com

Submitted and authored by Barry of www.farmjeep.com. Thanks Barry for the story look forward to seeing if anyone else has some information on FC-150’s used as Farm Jeeps.
