(08/25/2014) Here’s a good looking truck with a variety of updates.
“Restored in 2002. Originally from Klamath Falls, Oregon. One of 315 made in 1961.
Motor 1985 4.3 Chevy V6, Overdrive Transmission 700 R4, Transfer Case 208, Gears 4:88’s. Power ABS brakes with front disc and rear drum, power steering with original column,
Custom interior and headliner (black but looks grey in photo) by Jerry’s Upholstery. Color: Solar Yellow by Color Wise. (Some photos of metal show an orange reflection – from my shirt.) Great sound system mounted inside the glove box: Sony FM/AM CD Player mounted in the glove box, with Rotary Commander control and built in JBL speakers. Bucket seats tilt up for additional storage, with 3 point seat belts. Tinted glass. Spray in bed liner. Many extras, like a battery light under the hood.
I am selling this for my son who now lives in Hawaii. He restored it in 2002 and showed it at the Portland Hotrod Show in 2003 and 2004 and got “Runner Up” trophies each time. Has permanent, special interest license plate.
I have a file of receipts of services and equipment totaling over 25K, which does not include sweat equity. Priced to sell now at $15,700. Call to come take a look. “
This truck has a few unusual features.
“Looking to sale or trade my 1947 willy for a 4×4 Chevy SUV or 4door truck really looking for a 2001 or newer but let me know what you have to trade the worst I can say is no, just looking to see what is out there but needs to be a 4×4 an able to pull a trailer. I’m not a mechanic so here is what I know about the Willy’s is a 4×4 with a 3 speed on the floor it sits on a 70’s wagoner frame with a 360 AMC rebel 8cyl runs and drives good. Has bran new Michelin tires and is ready for the car cruise on Saturday, may not be a hot rod but it is an awesome and unique rat rod that you can drive.”
The DJ runs and drives. The Wagon motor is frozen.
“1962 Willys Pickup 226 Super Hurricane Engine (froze up).4wd

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000
(06/03/2014) Looks nice.
“Mostly original. Converted to 12v. Paint is newer but some imperfections (pics show worst spot). Brand new Firestone military tires, New battery with quick disconnect for long periods of storage. New Radiator (custom polished). New plugs, wires. Ooooga horn for some fun. It runs and drives great. Factory fuel gauge not working (when converted to 12v) but aftermarket gauge installed off to the side so if you get the original gauge working you can remove the aftermarket one. Aftermarket fuel tank and sender. 5874 miles showing. Was told it was original but no way to confirm. 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed transmission, with locking 4 wheel drive. This would be great as a business display vehicle or a weekend cruiser. We are not the owner of this truck but he is available to contact once interest is shown”
